Every sticker is printed on premium vinyl and finished with a protective laminate. That combination is what turns a print into something you can put on a bottle you actually use.

Substance ICON® PM-2755 - print media

2.75 mil premium polymeric print media. Broad adhesion, low shrinkage for improved longevity, suitable for flat to moderately curved surfaces. Unprinted durability up to 7 years.

Substance ICON® PL-3150 - overlaminate

2.75 mil polymeric overlaminate with UV extenders that protect against premature fading. Low shrinkage, suitable for flat to moderately curved surfaces. Outdoor durability up to 6 years.

Stickr Lab prints on Substance vinyl and laminate. The durability figures above are the manufacturer’s specifications for each material under its own specified conditions - they are not a lifespan warranty for the finished sticker, which depends on where and how it is applied.

Questions.

Are custom vinyl stickers really waterproof?
Yes. Ours are printed on premium vinyl and finished with a protective laminate, so they are waterproof and dishwasher safe. The photographs on this page are a real Stickr Lab sticker on a real bottle, wet and outdoors.
Will they fade in the sun?
The overlaminate contains UV extenders that protect the print against premature fading from UV exposure. That is what makes these suitable for outdoor use rather than indoor-only.
What material do you print on?
Substance vinyl and laminate. The print media is ICON® PM-2755, a 2.75 mil premium polymeric vinyl, and the protective layer is ICON® PL-3150, a 2.75 mil polymeric overlaminate. Both are rated by the manufacturer for flat to moderately curved surfaces.
How long will my sticker last?
The materials carry the manufacturer’s own durability specifications - unprinted durability up to 7 years for the vinyl and outdoor durability up to 6 years for the laminate, each under its specified conditions. We don’t quote a fixed lifespan for a finished sticker, because that depends on where it goes and what it lives through. What we will say is that these are built for real use, not for staying indoors.
Can I put them on a water bottle that goes in the dishwasher?
Yes, they are dishwasher safe. Apply to a clean, dry surface and give the adhesive a day to set before the first wash.
Will the sticker follow a curved surface?
On flat to moderately curved surfaces, yes - a bottle, a laptop lid, a cooler, a helmet. Press from the center outward so the vinyl settles evenly. Deep compound curves and heavy texture are the two cases where any vinyl struggles.
What files can I upload?
PNG, JPG, SVG or PDF. A transparent PNG or a vector file gives the cleanest edge. You can preview the sticker in the builder before you order.
